The Kawai NV10 is the first of its kind in the new series of hybrid digital pianos from Kawai. This remarkable instrument features Kawai's finest Millenium III acoustic grand piano keyboard action, including a real damper mechanism with the lastest SK-EX rendering piano sound engine and premium amplification technology from audio specialist Onkyo delivering the most realistic piano playing experience ever accomplished by a digital instrument. This strikingly beautiful ebony polish cabinet gives pianists the impression of playing a premium grand piano while occupying less floor space than a standard upright.

Ultimate grand experience

The Novus NV10 is the first digital instrument to incorporate Kawai's leading Millennium III acoustic grand piano keyboard action technology, offering modern and traditional players a superior performance experience. Distinguished pianists will appreciate the systems pioneering use of extended spruce keys sticks and innovative ABS Carbon components for long-lasting durability. These components are manufactured to be stronger and lighter and dimensionally stable than conventional wooden parts, improving the accuracy and attention to detail each key has for smooth and consistent playability.

The Millennium III hybrid keyboard replaces traditional felt hammers with modern ABS equivalents that are individually graded in weight from bass to treble allowing the subtle nuances of each note to be noticed. These notes are accurately read by the meticulously placed by the high-precision optical sensors, reading the subtle movements of each hammer to the corresponding keys are played.

Damper Pedal

The Novus NV10 is the first hybrid instrument to incorporate a real grand piano damper mechanism. While there are no strings inside the NV10 for psychical dampening, an advanced pianist will still get a high-quality dampening pedal replicating the true weighting of a grand piano, while also mechanically easing the keyboard action’s touch weight as the pedal is pressed.

Kawai SK-EX Grand Piano Sound
