The Casio SP-20 is a traditional piano-style sustain pedal that plugs into your compatible Casio keyboard or digital piano. It is designed to sustain notes in the same way as the damper (right) pedal on an acoustic piano.

The SP-20 is a great upgrade for those looking to improve the feel of the pedal, unlike the small plastic pedal blocks supplied with the instruments it is more sturdy and unlikely to move around underfoot. This can be particularly distracting for those learning the the piano. The SP-20 will give a more traditional feel and movement so the transition to a real acoustic piano, especially for exams and performance, is much easier.

Most portable pianos will include the sustain pedal option. You can check on the back of the instrument to ensure it has a single jack port marked with "Sustain" or "Damper". If you have purchased a piano and it already has the plastic type sustain pedal included the SP-20 will work as an upgrade. Most entry-level keyboards will not include this option.
