Over 180 hours of craftmanship are put into every R4 classic over the course of 8 months construction. This means that every single aspect of this piano is checked, doublechecked, tested and refined to a truly exceptional level. 

When it comes to material selection, it doesn't get much better either, the R4 features a solid soundboard made of mountain spruce grown slowly at elevations of 1,000 meters and higher in Val di Fiemme, Dolomites (similar to the tonewood used by Antonio Stradivari) to allow for even consistency throughout the instrument and a clear tone that invigorates and excites.

This piano can also be fitted with C.Bechstein's signature Vario silent system.
